Ruth W. Messinger is the Global Ambassador for American Jewish World Service, an international human rights organization she ran from 1998-2016. Additionally, she does social justice and organizing work at the Jewish Theological Seminary and at the Meyerson JCC, and teaches Jewish women social justice entrepreneurs.  Ruth is a trained social worker, and previously had a twenty-year career in elected office in New York City.  She serves on several boards, has 3 children, 8 grand-children and 3.5 great grandchildren.
